Lone Wolf 1/2/2012

In nature animals who travel and live in packs (or groups) often have a leader.  That leader is called the Alpha.  Alpha means first or beginning.  Remember that God, our Father, is the Alpha and the Omega?  Omega is the the end.  He is the beginning and the end.

In a pack of wolves there is an Alpha male.  All other wolves in that pack follow the Alpha male.  They learn that if they don't submit to their leader they will be excluded from the pack and be on their own - a lone wolf.  When on their own they are more likely to be taken down and killed by their natural predator, or enemy.

We have a great opportunity to learn from this example.  We each have some authority (Alpha male) in our lives.  This might be our parents, our boss, our church leaders - or more importantly, our Father in Heaven.

Do you want to be a lone wolf?  Do you want to be out in this world on your own because you are too stubborn to submit to your authority?  Do you know who your enemy is?

1 Peter 5:8
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour."

When submissive to our authority, we are part of the pack, not alone, and our enemy is less likely to devour us.  More so, we are connected to our leader's authority and are more likely to dominate over the enemy as we work together as a team.

If you are part of a Holy Bible believing church or family, submit to the one in authority over you not only for your own benefit, but also for the benefit of your pack (church or family).  For when we are properly aligned with our Father in heaven, then we are also in a position to silence the enemy!  On our own we demonstrate our stubbornness, and put ourselves and families at risk.

Today I strongly encourage you to give thought to where you are at in your life.  Submitting to the authorities in our lives isn't always easy, especially if we think we are better or smarter than our leaders.  Practice the simple principles of our Lord today so you can find yourself in a position of safety as well as Holy dominance over your spiritual enemy!

Father, speak your truths about authority to us today.  Give us biblical examples to follow and give us dominance over the evil one in all aspects of life!  Help us move from being complacent to being fully engaged and effective!

The choice is ours to make.  We are either a willing participant of God's team or we are on our own.  What will your choice be today?
